Summer Love

Jasper Whitlock meets Mary Alice Brandon. They are both humans and it is just like any other Highschool roleplay, only they are a tad bit back-in-the-day and they are much more mature then the characters in the highschool roleplay. Jasper is nineteen and Alice is eighteen. Setting is Bridgewood High School in Texas in 1998. It is a hot sunny day out on campus.

Jasper Whitlock sat in the tall grass reading an old withered novel, the edges fringed with old age. He sat under a large oak tree. He wore a black shirt with a dark grey vest and black pants. His black dressshoes were criss-crossed over one another and the book was propped open on his knee which was slightly raised. The wind whipped his light blonde hair into his shocking green eyes so he softly pushed it behind his ear before turning a page and smiling at the page. A few seconds later he laughed at something from the book. He looked up and around to see if anyone heard him. It was a tad bit embarassing when he laughed and people had no idea why he laughed. When he saw no one was looking, he turned his exspression back to the book continueing to read.

Mary was strolling the grounds of Bridgewood High School, wearing a dress which fitted in with the current fashion. She walked alone, she did have friends but today she felt like getting away from them.
A boy sat in the swirl of tall grass court her eye, he had done for the past few days but she hadn't had the guys to speak to him. Her friends told her but honestly, even though she hated to admit it, she was shy.
As his head suddenly jerked up she glanced down at the floor, hoping he hadn't noticed her. Her cheeks turned red as she did her best to hide it.

Jasper peeked up again from his book to see a small girl with short black hair and large brown eyes. He smirked slightly and closed his book. "Ma'am, you lost? Freshman walk by me all the time looking like lost puppies." He said, his deep kind of quiet voice having a hint of southerin in it.

She kept her eyes on the ground, realising no one had replied him she glanced around before realising he was talking to her. Her cheeks turned the same bright red as she struggled for words.
"I...I'm not lost." She smiled sheepishly. Admitedly, she was. But how could she admit it to him? If she did would he want anything else to do with her.
She bit her lip as she walked closer to him, "I know where I'm going." She added quietly, glancing around her in hope to spot a class mate that had the same class as her.
She avoided looking at him, she was trying not to make a fool of herself, and so far it was working. She allowed herself a quick glance at him before searching her surroundings once again.

"Alright then, sorry miss." He said, laughing softly at how shy she was before looking back at his book.

She stayed stood there, frozen to the spot. For the first time it hit her, he'd talked to her. She knew all it was was a conversation, it shouldn't make her so excited. She grinned to herself, going through the conversation in her head.
She glanced around again, trying to hide the smile that had creeped onto her lips. She atlast spotted a friend, waiting for her. she walked past the boy, tripping over her own feet. She hoped he hadn't seen it.

She could feel her heart pounding as his skin touched hers, she looked at him with a small, unsure smile. "I'm fine, thank you." She replied in her soft voice, her eyes locked onto his. She got lost in them for a few seconds. They were perfect, everything about him was perfect. But she would be a fool to believe that he could ever love her.
She glanced around, to make sure that no one had seen her before looking back at him. This time she didn't look him in the eyes insted she concentraited on not making a fool of herself again.
